Senior Associate

Sean most recently served as Vice President Government & Stakeholder Relations – Canada for Canopy Growth Corporation, a leading Canadian federally licensed producer of cannabis products where he was responsible for driving the company’s ongoing advocacy engagements with the federal government, provincial governments, and key municipalities.  He held this position until March 2023.

In this capacity Sean also served on the Board of the Cannabis Council of Canada (C3), where he worked with a broad range of cannabis sector stakeholders, including senior leaders of other federally licensed cannabis producers, to promote industry standards and advocate for the development, growth, and integrity of the regulated cannabis industry. 

Prior to joining Canopy, Sean held senior positions in the Canadian pharmaceutical sector, including Vice President – Public Affairs for Shoppers Drug Mart, where he was responsible for directing the company’s national public affairs and community investment activities. He has also worked at UCB Canada, Solvay Pharma Canada and Eli Lilly Canada Inc.  Sean has also held positions with Enbridge, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London, U.K. and as a Ministerial Assistant at the House of Commons in Ottawa.

In a volunteer capacity Sean was a member of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Convention Centre and is a former Vice-Chair of Exhibition Place in Toronto.  He also served on the Board of Providence Healthcare in Toronto and has volunteered for several community and health associations. 

In 2023 Sean was appointed the candidate of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario for a by-election in the Kanata-Carleton provincial electoral district.

Sean graduated with an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the Bayes School of Business at City, University of London, UK, where he subsequently served as a tutor.  He is also a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree.
