Laryssa Waler

Principal

Laryssa is a problem solver and storyteller. There is no issue too big that she can’t handle. She helps organizations tell their best story to their intended audience.

Most recently Laryssa led the Canadian, Indigenous and international media for the 2022 Papal visit to Canada, that was focused on Indigenous reconciliation. She was a lead spokesperson in addition to overseeing all technical aspects of media coverage for the 800+ accredited media from around the world. From 2018-2020 Laryssa was the Executive Director of Communications for the Premier of Ontario.

Laryssa started her career in Ottawa, working in the Harper government at Health Canada and Industry Canada. She cut her teeth on several big files including auto industry restructuring, the digital economy, infrastructure programs, telecom and the Chemical Management Plan.

In addition to her extensive experience in government and politics, Laryssa has worked with the construction, cannabis, alcohol, gambling, non-profit, media, health and energy sectors.

Laryssa is passionate defender of Ukraine and has used her expertise to support the international response to the most recent Russian invasion. She holds a degree from the University of Toronto, and a graduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. She is fluent in English, Ukrainian and French.
